The Dragonia welcome bonus, with the arithmetic done
The welcome bonus is the offer every new account is pointed at first, and it is also the one most often misread. This page is the version we would have wanted before claiming it: what triggers it, what it costs in stakes, and the two situations in which we would skip it entirely.
dragonia.io is an independent portal about the Dragonia online casino. We do not credit bonuses and we do not hold accounts on anyone's behalf — the figures below come from the operator's own conditions and from claiming the offer with our own euro.
Check the current welcome offerWhat the first deposit bonus is, in one paragraph
It is a match bonus: the operator adds a percentage of your opening payment as separate, locked balance. The advertised headline is a 100% up to a stated ceiling, and that ceiling — like the percentage — is published in the cashier at the moment you claim, which is why we do not quote a euro figure that could be stale by the time you read this.
The mechanism, unlike the numbers, does not move. A first deposit bonus lands as bonus credit, not cash. It becomes withdrawable only after the wagering requirement is met, and until then it behaves like a coupon with a deadline attached.
The conditions, numbered
- Qualifying deposit: €20 minimum, using Trustly, Skrill or Paysafecard. A bank transfer needs €25 to clear its own floor.
- Wagering: ×35 of the bonus amount, in qualifying stakes.
- Maximum stake while bonus funds are live: €5 per round. One breach can void the balance.
- Validity: 7 days from the moment the bonus is credited.
- Contribution: slots count in full; live dealer and table rounds count far less.
- Eligibility: one account per person, first deposit only, no retroactive claims.
Claiming it in the right order
The order matters more than anything else on this page, because most lost bonuses are lost at the claim stage rather than at the wagering stage. Complete identity verification first — the operator states a 24 to 48 hour review — then open the cashier and read the live terms. Opt in before sending money: a deposit made first and a bonus chosen second generally cannot be joined up later.
If the campaign you are looking at does require a code, enter it in the field the promotion names before confirming the payment, and check that the offer displays as active on the account afterwards. Our promo code guide covers what to do when a code is rejected.
Registration bonus, sign-up bonus, deposit bonus: not the same thing
The vocabulary is used loosely across the industry, so it is worth being exact. A true sign up bonus is credited purely for opening an account, with no payment involved. What Dragonia runs is a deposit-linked offer: no bonus on sign up appears in the balance at the moment you register, and nothing is credited until the first qualifying payment clears.
When people search for a registration bonus here, this is the offer they mean. The genuinely no-payment variety is covered separately on our no deposit bonus page, where we also explain why it is rare and why the versions advertised on third-party sites usually do not exist.
When the offer is split into a welcome package
Some campaigns present the newcomer offer as a welcome package rather than a single credit: the total headline figure is spread across the first two or three deposits, occasionally with a batch of spins attached to one of the tranches. Each tranche then carries its own percentage and its own ×35 requirement, and the later parts unlock only if the follow-up deposits arrive inside the stated window.
The practical consequence is that the advertised total is never what lands on your first payment. Read the package breakdown in the cashier and work out what the first tranche alone is worth, because that is the only part you are certain to receive.
Our verdict: two cases where we would skip it
Take the offer if you play slots, several evenings a week, and can comfortably reach the required turnover without changing your stake size. In that profile the match is genuinely free value.
Skip it if you play mainly at live tables — the contribution rate makes the seven-day window unrealistic — or if you deposit small amounts occasionally, in which case cashback gives you more without asking for anything. A bonus you cannot finish is not a bonus; it is a restriction on your own money, since the €5 cap applies to the whole balance while it is active.
Questions new accounts ask
Is the welcome bonus credited automatically or do I need a code?
In every campaign we saw it attached itself to the qualifying deposit with no code involved. A promo code on registration is only required when the operator runs a channel-specific variant, and in that case the promotion page says so explicitly. If no field appears in the sign-up form, there is nothing you are missing.
How much do I actually have to stake to clear it?
Multiply the bonus by 35. A EUR 20 deposit matched in full gives EUR 20 of bonus credit and therefore EUR 700 of qualifying stakes, all of it inside seven days and none of it above EUR 5 per round. On slots that is achievable in a few evenings; at a live table, where contribution is a fraction, it usually is not.
Can I cancel the welcome bonus after claiming it?
Support can normally remove it while the bonus balance is untouched. Once you have placed the first bet with it, the only exit is through the wagering. That is a good argument for deciding about the offer before you deposit rather than opting in and thinking about it afterwards.
Does a bigger first deposit give better value?
Only up to the ceiling of the offer, and the wagering grows with the bonus. Depositing EUR 200 instead of EUR 20 multiplies the turnover you owe by ten while the seven-day window stays exactly the same length. Deposit what matches how you normally play, not what maximises the headline figure.
